For children aged 10-16, M.Sc. Sergey Mukhametov will provide a first introduction to programming as well as basic data acquisition and processing. As part of a course lasting several days during the vacations, the acquired knowledge will be used to realize a small research project based on self-recorded environmental data. The course provides an introduction to the basics of programming using an environmental measuring station with microcontrollers. The course follows the didactic approach of research-based learning. The content is explicitly adapted for the courses offered with a focus on the skills of problem solving and modeling, in particular programming and algorithms. The low-threshold nature of our offer, with which we pick up on young people's interests in their everyday lives, enables participants to use sensor arrays they have assembled themselves (based on the senseBox environmental measuring stations) and the associated evaluation in their own programs (especially programming in the Blockly environment).
The senseBoxes are used, which can be assembled as microcontrollers to form environmental measuring stations.
