The DIGILL@Praxis project aims to link university-level teacher education with classroom practice in order to systematically promote digitalization-related competencies among students in industrial and technical subjects—specifically in teaching and learning with and through digital media—across all phases of their education.
To this end, the Working Group on Subject Didactics in Technology, the teacher-training seminars in Speyer/Kaiserslautern and Trier, and the two network schools—BNT Trier and BBS1 Kaiserslautern—are collaborating.
The goal is to develop and implement a course within the master’s program for the disciplines of electrical engineering, metallurgy, and Computer Science/information technology, in which students practice and reflect on the integration of digital media in the subject-specific didactic design of teaching and learning sequences. In cooperation with the teacher training colleges and the vocational schools, this initiative will support the transfer of subject-specific content from the academic program into classroom practice.
