InterAct - a project for cross-location teaching
The QuantumSkills@RPTU project serves to accompany the concepts being developed there with initial implementations and pursues the goal of generating cross-location and interdisciplinary material to expand thematically related courses in the participating departments (e.g. for an interdisciplinary Master's course in the BMBF project "QuanTUK", as well as the teacher training courses in physics at both locations). The content is based on the structure specified by national and international quantum technology roadmaps (especially quantum computing, quantum simulations, quantum sensor technology or quantum communication), the content is anchored in current research specifications and the corresponding equipment/infrastructure is available at the Kaiserslautern site (including quantum suitcases, experiments on quantum correlations and single photon interference). At the same time, the recommendations for action are checked at an early stage to ensure that they fit at both locations at RPTU in order to be able to derive control impulses at an early stage. The didactic goal is to develop and reflect on the use of appropriate teaching material-based learning paths based on the available equipment/infrastructure and study course concepts and to emphasize the optimized and cognitively activating use of representations.
The project is funded within the framework of inter-site teaching (InterAct) at RPTU (RPTU University Kaiserslautern-Landau) and takes place in cooperation between the locations Kaiserslautern, represented by Prof. Dr. Leo van Waveren and Prof. Dr. Artur Widera and Landau, represented by Prof. Dr. Alexander Kauertz.
